SGD IS LAUNCHING THE FIRST 100% RECYCLED GLASS !

Conscious of current and forthcoming environmental concerns, SGD strongly aims at being a responsible, innovative and forerunner player in the field of sustainable development and is therefore launching a major innovation within the glass industry : the Infinite Glass, the first 100% recycled glass.

Glass, an endlessly recyclable material, is well-known for being one of the most eco-friendly materials.
However its composition is never coming 100% from recycling : in the perfumery industry, glass is generally composed with 30% of in-house cullet (recycling of the production loss) and with 70% of raw materials (sand, sodium and fining agents).

Using a higher level of cullet enables to lower raw materials extractions, energy consumption and CO2 rejections.

After 18 months of research and development, SGD has successfully reached its goal to produce a type of glass with a very low impact on the environment : SGD is launching the Infinite Glass, the first glass 100% made of white household cullet.

This new type of glass is an additional asset to SGD know-how and is specifically produced on demand at our factory in Mers-les-Bains.

In order to highlight this eco-friendly glass, SGD is launching within its standards stock range, La Collection, a new line of bottles and jars coming from the eco-conception :
